Great Teaching Tool

After doing 26 years in Tennessee prisons there's no more authoritative voice than Rahim's on the living hell of incarceration. Although this book is designed as a teaching tool for youth in order to help them avoid a life of crime and imprisonment, it also contains the author's own story and poetry, which are a rich insight into how an inner-city youth of color ends up going down the wrong path, and how a life lived behind bars affects the human psyche. His story is riveting and the poetry is powerful. I'd recommend this book to any parent who is concerned about a child that has begun the descent into a criminal lifestyle. They may be able to learn something from Rahim's experiences and avoid the hell and heartbreak he endured.

I bought it for the wrong reason...The man who wrote this book has told the truth how difficult
Being locked up can be...People, it all starts at home !! Love your children, look at the friends they are hanging out with!# have intrest in,their homework and intrests..please ..this is our future ...God Bless
